A 43-year-old man was later arrested in the Scotstown Road area in connection with the incident and has now been charged with her death.

On Wednesday, he is scheduled to appear in Aberdeen Sheriff Court.

Ms Kerr’s family said in a statement released by police, “Jacqueline was a fun-loving person.

A visible police presence will remain in the area as investigating officers continue their enquiries.
