Six individuals were shot dead and four others were injured, according to police, by a Walmart employee in the US state of Virginia.
The unnamed shooter opened fire on coworkers at the branch in Chesapeake late on Tuesday, prompting police to be dispatched to the scene.
Later, he turned the gun on himself and shot himself in the head, dying as a result.
The reason is still a mystery. No one else connected to the attack is being sought by police.

In a video that went viral on social media shortly after the incident, an eyewitness who was dressed in a Walmart uniform explained what transpired.
He claimed that after leaving the staff room, a coworker went inside and opened fire. He remarked, “Unfortunately, we lost a handful of our colleagues.
A woman informed WAVY-TV that barely 10 minutes after reporting for work, her 20-year-old brother, who was working there, was shot and injured.
However, she claimed that her sibling was still able to send and receive SMS, calling this “comforting.”
Joetta Jeffery, another woman, said to CNN that her mother had been in the building at the time of the attack and had been able to send text messages.
According to Ms. Jeffrey, her mother was shocked but not wounded.
Chesapeake Mayor Rick West said in a statement that the shooting had left the city “devastated.” West was unable to attend the news conference on Wednesday due to a diagnosis of Covid-19.
The news has definitely shaken us, he declared. “We shall be there for one another throughout this time.”
Walmart declared that it was “shocked” by the sad incident and that it was “working closely with law authorities.”
Senator for Virginia and a Democrat, Mark Warner, tweeted that he was “sickened by reports of yet another horrific massacre.”
Democratic state senator from Virginia Louise Lucas added that she was “absolutely heartbroken.”
“I won’t stop until we find the solutions to end this gun violence epidemic in our country,” she declared on Twitter.
Only a few days prior, a shooter in the US state of Colorado opened fire at an LGBT nightclub, killing five people and injuring 17 more.
And at the University of Virginia earlier this month, three American football players were shot and died.
